Flow Lending Group | Lazarte Mortgages is a growing mortgage brokerage known for structuring and placing complex mortgage files across A-lenders, alternative lenders, and private capital. Our work is grounded in judgment, strategy, and clean execution—not volume for volume’s sake.
After a very strong year of growth, we are expanding the team to continue scaling rapidly within the industry.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, hybrid role offering flexible hours and partial work-from-home, with in-office collaboration in North York, ON as needed.
You will work closely alongside a highly experienced, top-tier mortgage broker in Canada, gaining direct exposure to complex underwriting decisions, lender strategy, and real deal structuring.
This position is intentionally flexible and can suit one of three profiles:
- An experienced mortgage underwriter seeking autonomy, flexibility, and exposure to more complex, non-standard files
- A motivated, coachable individual with strong fundamentals and a genuine passion for underwriting and deal structuring, looking to grow quickly through mentorship
- A producing mortgage agent (approximately $5M–$10M in funded volume) who wants to join a team environment, strengthen underwriting judgment, and scale production collaboratively
What matters most is how you think through a file, your judgment, and your willingness to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and structure mortgage files across A-lenders, alternative lenders, and private lenders
- Review borrower documentation including income, credit, liabilities, and property details
- Analyze risk factors and anticipate lender underwriting questions before submission
- Assist in building clear, lender-ready financial narratives for complex borrower scenarios
- Liaise with lenders, brokers, lawyers, and other stakeholders to support smooth closings
- Ensure files meet regulatory, lender, and internal compliance standards
What We’re Looking For
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working with complex or non-standard borrower profiles
- Strategic thinker who values judgment, structure, and clean execution
- Coachable, curious, and motivated to continuously improve
- Someone who enjoys learning and problem-solving — not just following templates
Qualifications
- Experience in mortgage underwriting, lending, or mortgage brokering is an asset
- Producing agents with $5M–$10M funded experience are encouraged to apply
- Education or certification in finance, business, or a related field is an asset
- Mortgage licensing is an asset but not required for underwriting-focused candidates
What We Offer
- Hybrid work environment with flexible hours
- Direct mentorship and hands-on exposure to real underwriting and lender strategy
- Opportunity to work on complex files rarely seen in traditional roles
- A collaborative environment with significant room to grow alongside a rapidly scaling business
- Competitive compensation structured based on experience, contribution, and growth
This is an opportunity to build long-term career momentum while growing with a team that is already moving quickly in the industry.
